     Bishop Douglas Crosby O.M.I.
     Bishop of the Diocese of Hamilton

 

Bishop Douglas Crosby, O.M.I., D.D., was installed on November 8, 2010 as the ninth Bishop of Hamilton.

     On November 4, 1997 he was appointed bishop. His Episcopal ordination  was held on January 2, 1998 at St. Joseph's Parish, Ottawa, Ontario and his installation at the Cathedral in Labrador City on January 4, 1998. On August 6, 2003, he was appointed Bishop of St. George's-Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador.

Bishop Douglas Crosby was  born in Marathon, Ontario. He was ordained a priest on September 27, 1975.

Monsignor Edward House was born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, he is the son of the late Alonzo House & Margaret MacDonald.

Monsignor Edward House was ordained to the priesthood in the Cathedral of Christ the King in 1975. Since then he has served in many parishes in Kitchener, Hamilton and Georgetown in the Diocese of Hamilton, as well as an assignment as Chaplain with the Canadian Armed Forces at CFB Gagetown, New Brunswick.

He was appointed Rector of the Cathedral June 27, 2001.
